AFC Leopards Sponsorship Contract Might Fundamentally Go to Tribunal
Kenya’s Sports Dispute Terminal has ruled on a dispute between two rivaling factions inside the management of the united states’s Premier League soccer club AFC Leopards linked to two sponsorship deals with gambling operators Betway and Sportpesa.
In line with the tribunal, both agreements were void and the two factions will need to agree upon one sponsor. Otherwise, the tribunal itself shall choose what type of the two companies could be represented by AFC Leopards.
John Ohaga, Chairman associated with SDT, explained that under an understanding, made on December 22, 2015, all of the club’s decisions regarding the above-mentioned deals first need certainly to be approved by tribunal members to become considered valid.
